The type Ecolift F900 vessels will feature two cranes with a combined lifting capacity of up to 900 tonnes. They are an upgraded design of Intermarine’s existing bridge-forward F-Class ships with better stability, larger holds, improved cranes and reduced fuel consumption, said Frank Fischer, managing director of tonnage procurement at Intermarine.
The company has partnered with CSSC Leasing to provide these vessels with long-term charters. Delivery of the vessels will begin in the summer of 2017 and continue throughout 2018. Earlier this year Intermarine announced the ordering of 15 Ecolift F500 vessels to start its Fleet of the Future fleet renewal programme. The Ecolift F500’s will begin delivery in the second quarter of 2016.

Houston-based project and breakbulk shipping company Intermarine LLC said it has ordered six 13,300dwt heavy-lift freighters from Chinese yards Hudong and Wenchong.
