Harris Pye and Sobrena Shipyard sign collaboration MOU

Under the terms of the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding, the two companies plan to form an integrated project team from both parties to offer design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning and docking and yard facilities.

In a case by case analysis, Harris Pye Group’s role will be to provide their installation project team to identify and provide, where necessary, all associated materials, tooling, manpower, supervision and project management and are to control this process in conjunction with Sobrena and client’s project teams.

The Harris Pye Group is a rapidly expanding global player with active involvement in many key marine and industrial sectors. Operating worldwide on a 24/7 basis, the Group’s emphasis is on cost effective repair, preventative maintenance and conversion work.

Staff strength within the Group has grown from 10 in 1976 to 750+ employees Apart from the United Kingdom head office facility and main stations in Dubai and Singapore there are offices and repair facilities in Scandinavia, Portugal, Brazil, Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan.
Sobrena, the major French ship repair yard, is owned by Group Meunier, a major industrial maintenance company. With three dry-docks of up  to 80 m in width and 420 m in length, Sobrena is able to accommodate almost all ships and offshore assets with very few exceptions.
