British shipyard Goodchild Marine, based in Norfolk, has a contract to deliver a new built fishing boat to Scotland. The type Rorcal 121.PS vessel is due to be delivered to the Skye Shellfish Company Limited on the Isle of Skye in Scotland in spring 2021. The newbuilding can carry four crew members and reach a maximum speed of 13 knots.

“The Rorcal 121 will exhibit lots of our usual features, with an emphasis on reduced running costs, environmental impact, easy maintenance and above all outstanding sea keeping,“ Goodchild Marine’s General Manager Steve Pierce said.“We are hoping our order from Skye Shellfish will be the first in a line of new Goodchild fishing boats for use across the UK and that we are able to expand and adapt our range to suit the business needs of various operators,” he added.
