Fosen Yard Emden signs construction contracts

Fosen Yard Emden has won an order to build six mini bulkers of 88m length. The order was placed by an unnamed customer in Germany. The yard did not provide any details about the client or the investment volume.
Fosen Yard Emden is a member of Norway-based Fosen Yard Group and employs around 100 people at the Emden location. The low-emission freighters are planned to be operated in European services. They are characterised by numerous innovations designed to ensure a high level of competitiveness over a long period of time.
Construction of the bulkers is scheduled to start in spring 2022, and all vessels should then be delivered in the following year.
