Float-out of Mein Schiff 5

Float-out ceremony at the premises of Meyer Turku shipyard

The first ship being contracted and built totally under the ownership of the Meyer family, Mein Schiff 5 is a sister ship of Mein Schiff 4, which was handed over to its owner TUI Cruises last spring.
At 99,500 gt, Mein Schiff 5 will be 295m long and 36m wide. Special attention in its design and construction was paid to energy efficiency, the shipyard said. The cruise ship will have 1,267 cabins, of which approximately 90% will be outer cabins and 82% will have their own balcony. It will accommodate about 1,000 crew members. Mein Schiff 5 will be completed this summer.

The Meyer Turku Oy shipyard in Finland has floated out the cruise vessel Mein Schiff 5 for owner TUI Cruises.
