Europort Istanbul 2011: 23–26 March, Mare Forum: 22 March

The Turkish shipbuilding industry is growing stronger. Developments are clearly present at Europort Istanbul 2011, as the organizer Ahoy Rotterdam NV states. With a strong Turkish and international exhibition programme, with new elements such as the Turkish Shipyard Square and Super Yacht Route and by hosting the Mare Forum Istanbul conference.

During Mare Forum Istanbul 2011 - The Turkish Expansion III - Turkish shipyards and (international) ship owners, manufacturers, financers, shippers, politicians, regulators, brokers and journalists will discuss common challenges and strategies. The conference takes place on 22 March, one day prior to the start of Europort Istanbul 2011.

The trade show Europort Istanbul 2011 will host over 200 exhibitors from 30 countries including national pavilions from China, The Netherlands, Romania and two from Korea (Ulsan and Busan).
As well as being known for developing from a merchant marine market towards building hi-tech specialised vessels such as navy vessels and offshore supply vessels, Turkey has a growing reputation in the Super Yacht market. That’s why Europort Istanbul 2011 will highlight suppliers to this sector with a special Super Yacht Route at the trade show.
