Deltamarin to provide design and consultancy services for expedition yacht

Sketch of the expedition yacht Caroline

Deltamarin will be one of several architect partners selected to provide conceptual design services including technical design development and documentation.
The Polar Class 6 mega-yacht will operate on dual-fuel generators running on both LNG and diesel. It will use batteries for peak-shaving and have several other emission-saving features. The vessel will have capacity for 220 persons in 110 suites and will offer worldwide cruises with a focus on sustainable travel and low environmental impact.
Jaako Lappi, Deltamarin’s sales manager, said: “We are very proud to announce our partnership with Norwegian Yacht Voyages to develop this ambitious project, which is to be the greenest mega yacht we have seen to date. Deltamarin has an excellent track record of designing highly energy-efficient and environmentally friendly passenger vessels, so we are very excited to join this project.”

Turku-headquartered Deltamarin and Norwegian Yacht Voyages AS have signed a contract to work together on development of the Caroline expedition yacht project.
