Delivery of "Stena Premium"

"Stena Premium" leaving her building yard

"Stena Premium" follows her sister vessels "Stena Paris", "Stena Performance" and "Stena Progress". The 183 m long and 40 m wide tankers transporting both light and heavy petroleum products as well as crude oil have double hulls, two engine rooms with full water and fire integrity and two separate propulsion systems. The MAX concept means that the vessels are designed for maximum loading capacity in shallow waters. Superior maneuverability and an integrated bridge layout are said to facilitate safe navigation in narrow channels. The tankers in the P-MAX series have all been signed to charterers of between three and ten years from delivery.

At Brodosplit Shipyard, Croatia, the last of four P-Max tankers which the yard built for Swedish ship operator Concordia Maritime was recently delivered.
