Delivery of handysize bulk carrier

The 35,000 dwt bulk carrier “Graig Cardiff”

The 180m-long and 30m-wide UK flagged “Craig Cardiff” has a scantling draught of 10.1m. A type B&W 5S50MC-C MAN engine provides power for a speed of 14 knots. Accommodation is available for 21 crew members.
Classsed by DNV, the newbuilding entered into the Lauritzen Bulkers pool. According to Graig Group, the second unit, “Graig Rotterdam”, is due for delivery later this year. The cargo capacity is divided into five flush double skinned cargo holds with wide hatches and no hopper tanktops, ensuring easy access and cleaning. All hatches are served by four 30 tonne SWL wire-luffing cargo cranes and remote-controlled grabs.

Cardiff-based Graig Group took delivery of the 35,000 dwt handysize bulk carrier “Graig Cardiff”. It is the first of two type Seahorse 35 vessels to be built for the company and partners at Jiangdong Shipyard, Wu Hu, China.
