Contracts for LEG carriers

The vessels are of the new 12000cbm design, which has been elaborated in-house by the company’s design department, and deliveries will commence as from 2012.

The vessels are to be delivered from SOE’s Qidong construction base which will also design, engineer and fabricate the cargo tanks. Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering will be cooperating with Hamworthy Gas Systems for the supply and installation of the gas plants on the vessels.

The 139 m long vessels with double bottom and double hull form part of Sinopacific’s new range of gas carriers which have been designed to provide a number of innovative and cost saving features:
Easy and convenient operation with three cargo tank arrangement, min. cargo temperature - 104 deg.C for transportation of Ethylene, efficient operation and crewing friendly installation and equipment, hull efficiency and reduced fuel consumption and EP (Environment Passport) class notation and Green Passport.
