ClassNK releases cyber security guidelines

Its Cyber Security Management System for Ships is based on its Cyber Security Approach, released recently and outlining the ClassNK approach to comprehensive cyber security for ships.
From 2021, the standards for handling cyber risks, which include both information technology and operation technology criteria, should be included in companies’ individual safety management systems, according to industry recommendations. The aim here is to provide companies that have adopted the standards to be as well-equipped as possible to evaluate and manage cyber risks.
