Carnival Panorama launched at Fincantieri’s Marghera yard

The latest newbuilding, the Carnival Panorama, is a sister vessel of the Carnival Vista, which was delivered in 2016

The 133,500gt Carnival Panorama, the latest vessel in the Vista class, has been launched at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard near Venice.

The 323m-long vessel, with capacity for 6,500 people on board, will be one of the largest vessels in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet, a Carnival Corporation & plc brand. The latest vessel in the Vista class, due for delivery in autumn 2019, will join sister vessels Carnival Vista, delivered in Monfalcone in April 2016, and Carnival Horizon, built in Marghera and delivered in March this year.
Vessels in this class are a technological benchmark, shipbuilder Fincantieri claims, in terms of cutting-edge layout, high performance and high-quality technical solutions. Like its sisters, the Carnival Panorama will have an exclusive Havana Area, accessible only to some passengers part of the time.
Fincantieri’s Marghera yard also has a second ship for the Costa Asia brand and a third Pinnacle-class vessel for Holland America Line on its orderbook, due for delivery in 2020 and 2021; respectively.
