Bourbon Liberty Series: adaptable to suit clients' requirements

This limited series which is part of the AHTS Bourbon Liberty 200 series built in China at Sinopacific shipyards, has undergone some changes. These changes take into account the client’s requirements to operate to their own standards in the Middle East.

Fulfilling the client’s request, Bourbon proposed modifying the Bourbon Liberty 200 in accordance with Aramco Basic Marine Vessel Specifications & Requirements (BMVSR) for AHTS vessels. These modifications helped to respond to client’s need, to remain simultaneously at full power all thrusters with Dynamic Positioning system whilst operating the FIFI. Also other elements were modified such as:
-A larger air-conditioning system to allow optimal working condition in this type of operation area;
-A Dynamic positioning system upgrade to take into account the forces generated by the FIFI monitors in use;
-Additional cargo pumps to reduce unloading phase;
-Replacing a double-occupancy cabin with a hospital to provide advanced first aid at sea.
