Appointments at ABS Houston

Vice President, External Affairs for ABS Jean Gould has been appointed Vice President, External Affairs for ABS within the classification society’s corporate headquarters in Houston. Jean Gould will be responsible for a wide range of activities relating to the positioning of ABS with the media and will oversee the extensive publishing and website activity of the society. She replaces Stewart Wade who has retired after 14 years with ABS. Jean Gould has more than two decades of external affairs experience and has managed public policy issues at the state, national and international levels. She comes to ABS from Coyne PR, a leading public relations agency. Prior to that, she spent 18 years with Exxon Corporation holding a number of positions in operations and corporate affairs.


ABS Vice President, Strategic Development
David Weinstein has been appointed Vice President, Strategic Development for ABS within the classification society’s corporate headquarters in Houston. Weinstein will be responsible for strategic planning, acquisitions and major internal strategic initiatives. David Weinstein joins ABS after more than 25 years as a strategy consultant in the transportation, energy and manufacturing sectors. Prior to ABS, he was a partner with Norbridge, a firm specializing in transportation and logistics. Earlier in his career, he was a partner and global leader of Accenture’s transportation strategy practice.
