The Anthem of the Seas departs from Bremerhaven to Southampton on April 14th

The second ship of the Quantum class sets new standards in terms of eco-friendliness, the Papenburg-based shipbuilder said. It features highly energy-efficient systems, optimised hydrodynamics, heat recovery, an effective underwater paint coating, a state-of-the-art exhaust gas treatment plant (hybrid scrubber) as well as energy-saving LED lighting systems. Anthem of the Seas is 347.75m long, 41.4m wide and has a draught of 8.5m. With a propulsion power of 41,000 kW, the cruise vessel can achieve a speed of 22 knots. On a total of 18 decks 4,180 guests can be accommodated in 2,090 cabins, and are taken care of by a crew of approximately 1,550. Anthem of the Seas will sail its inaugural season from Southampton before the ship repositions to its permanent homeport of New York in November.

In a recent ceremony in Bremerhaven Meyer Werft delivered the 168,600gt cruise ship Anthem of the Seas to the US cruise operator Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
