AIDAprima christened

The AIDAprima was christened during the 827th Hamburg Port Anniversary

Built at Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd, the AIDAprima is the first newbuild of a new generation of energy-efficient cruise ships. Powered by a dual-fuel engine, it is said to achieve substantial savings of harmful emissions when in port.
With a length of 300m and width of 37.6m, the 124,100gt AIDAprima has 1,643 staterooms, 32 suites, 1,101 veranda staterooms, 198 ocean-view staterooms and 312 interior staterooms. Its crew will number more than 900.
It is the first cruise vessel that will be deployed from Hamburg all year round.

AIDAprima, the eleventh ship in the AIDA fleet, was christened in Hamburg on May 7th as the climax of the 827th Hamburg Port Anniversary.
