Acta Marine’s third walk-to-work vessel progressing well

The third Acta Marine walk-to-work vessel will be named Acta Centaurus

The vessel, to be named Acta Centaurus after one of the largest constellations in the night sky, will join Acta Auriga and Acta Orion as the third walk-to-work vessel in the company’s fleet dedicated to offshore logistics and accommodation services for clients in the offshore renewables industry.
With accommodation for up to 120 persons, the Acta Centaurus will be equipped with a hybrid battery package, a helideck and mission equipment provided by SMST including a motion-compensated gangway and 3D crane. The vessel is due for delivery in the second quarter of 2019.
Family-owned Acta Marine operates a diversified fleet of more than 40 vessels including DP multicast, walk-to-work vessels, crew transfer craft, multipurpose and survey vessels, and barges working across a broad range of sectors. It has a particular focus on supporting clients engaged in coastal infrastructure and offshore energy projects.

Construction of Acta Marine’s third walk-to-work vessel, the second to be built to an Ulstein SX195 design, is progressing well, and the completed hull is expected to be towed from Crist shipyard in Poland to Ulsteinvik, Norway, in November.
