3D scan service for BWT systems

In addition to its efficient CleanBallast ballast water treatment (BWT) system, the Bremen-based water and wastewater treatment specialist RWO now offers its maritime customers a high-speed 360°-3D scanner to create detailed three-dimensional images of a ship's engine room and portray the most advantageous options for installing the CleanBallast system. 

The image gives the shipowner and the shipyard an exact, digital reproduction of the conditions and thus saves costs and effort for design and engineering work, according to RWO.
A further benefit is said to be the accurate measurement of clearances from the scanned image. This means that time-consuming surveying work, which normally is required for the assessment of the space conditions on board a ship, is no longer necessary.
