109th ship of “Mitsui’s 56” series delivered

"Arnica" is a handy-max type bulk carrier with a huge cargo hold capacity of over 70,000 m³ and marks the 106th ship of the series of type "Mitsui’s 56".

The vessel has a length of 189.99 m and a breadth of 32.25 m. Powered by a MAN B&W main engine of type 6S50MC-C, the new building reaches a service speed of approximately 14.5 kts. Special features of the 31,759 gt vessel include the design in accordance with IACS Common Structural Rules, five cargo holds and four cranes for handling cargo of various kinds, extremely large size of hatch opening in terms of both length and width and each cargo hold with sufficient clear length to load long pipes.
