A seven cylinder Wärtsilä RT-flex82T version B main engine was ordered to power a very large crude carrier (VLCC), built for JX Tanker Company Limited, Yokohama, Japan. The engine for the 310,000-dwt vessel will be manufactured by Diesel United, Ltd. (DU), a Wärtsilä licensee in Japan. It is a newly upgraded RT-flex82T version B engine, based on the RT-flex82T, which has accumulated more than 100 reference installations.

Finland-based marine solutions and services provider Wärtsilä has received its 1000th order for its two-stroke low-speed diesel, electronically controlled, common-rail RT-flex engine.
