New presence in Australia

The “BBC Nordland” while laoding the 77km-long subsea umbilical

The provider of multi-purpose and heavy lift shipping services BBC Chartering, Leer, Germany, says it will strengthen its presence in the Australian market by establishing a local representation in Fremantle, Western Australia.

The new branch office aims to improve services with a focus on offshore and mining projects and offer clients a direct access to the global shipping services of BBC Chartering. The new representation marks the 28th global presence in the company’s commercial network.
In a recent assignment BBC Chartering’s project division has demonstrated its capabilities for the Macedon gas project in the Pilbara region offshore Western Australia. As transport provider its work scope included transport engineering, execution and delivery of a 77km-long subsea umbilical that was installed in water depths of up to 180m.
