MacGregor and COSCO Shipping signs service agreement

Cargotec subsidiary, MacGregor, is to provide spare parts and service to COSCO Shipping, one of the world’s largest fleets, following the signing of a framework purchasing agreement. The deal will cover the parts and service of MacGregor equipment on more than 1,000 vessels of various types trading worldwide.
“We are looking forward to increasing our collaboration with COSCO Shipping,” said John Carnall, MacGregor’s senior vice president, Global Lifecycle Support. “The framework agreement provides for the scope of support services supplied to COSCO Shipping to be further enhanced and will additionally enable more effective inventory forecasting across the fleet.”
The move is one of a series of initiatives developed by MacGregor to support shipowners and operators in raising ship productivity.
