Intellian launches new Inmarsat terminals

Mobile satellite communications antenna provider, Intellian, has unveiled two new terminals for maritime voice and data communications operating on Inmarsat’s broadband global area network. Intellian Fleet One, designed for simple, low cost delivery and installation, is easily integrated with a maritime safety terminal and also facilitates Inmarsat 505 Emergency calling, a free voice distress service for small vessels.

Intellian FB250 can be integrated with Intellian Global Xpress antennas and has added functionality including GMDSS, navigation and location-based services. Both Intellian Fleet One and FB250 are expected to obtain Inmarsat type approval and become commercially available early in 2020.
