Fleet expansion with self-propelled installation jack-up

The “Seafox 5” of the Keppel multi-purpose self-elevating platform (MPSEP) design is to  meet all the requirements in both the Offshore Wind and the Oil & Gas industry for installation and support services in the deeper water depths of the Southern and Central North Sea (65-70 m).

The self-propelled DP2 jack-up has an installation capacity of 1200 t, designed jacking system for quick and frequent usage and a free deck area of more than 3500 sqm.

Workfox B.V, owned by the Seafox Group, as the manager of choice for the Joint Venture will be operating the “Seafox 5”  Hoofddorp (NL) and Great Yarmouth(UK).

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for mid 2012.

A 75/25 joint venture company has been formed between Keppel FELS and Seafox to build and own a self-propelled installation jack-up. Seafox has the option of acquiring Keppel’s stake in the JV company.
