Bremen-based Harren & Partner has won a contract to provide technical management for the 2010-built Wind Lift 1.

Starting this month, the company’s Offshore Department will take over management of the jack-up wind construction unit which is owned by Ocean Breeze Energy GmbH & Co KG. The unit, which was built at Western Shipyard in Klaipėda, Lithuania, has been operating in wind installation and maintenance since delivery.
The dynamically positioned four-legged Wind Lift 1 has a high-performance hydraulic NG-5300 jacking system and a 500-tonne heavy duty, high-outreach offshore crane supplied by GustoMSC. It has accommodation capacity for up to 50 people.
Heiko Felderhoff, managing director of Harren & Partner, said: “This state-of-the-art vessel represents an important enhancement of our fleet. Wind Lift 1 is a highly adaptable vessel. We have a first-class cooperation between the marine crew and the client. A major component exchange takes us an average of just 16 hours.”
Harren & Partner, established in 1989, provides a full range of services covering the lifecycle of ships. Its core business is the operation of owned and third-party vessels. Today, the company manages a fleet of 55 ships comprising tankers, container feeders, heavy lift vessels, bulk carriers, dock ships and offshore vessels.
