AIDAprima is the new AIDA flagship

AIDAprima offers space for approximately 3,000 passengers

The new flagship of AIDA Cruises, which is currently under construction at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, Japan, will be named AIDAprima.

Upon its delivery in spring 2015, the 300m-long and 37.6m-wide 124,500gt vessel will be offering seven-day round-trip voyages starting in Hamburg.
According to AIDA Cruises, highlights of the AIDAprima include the AIDA Beach Club housed beneath a weather-independent transparent dome, the "4 Elements" with water slide, climbing walls, and the AIDA Mini Club providing childcare for small children six months and older.
AIDAprima will be equipped with a comprehensive emissions filter system and dual-fuel engines. Courtesy of modern MALS technology, the ship will glide on a carpet of air, thus benefiting from reduced fuel usage, the Rostock-based cruise operator said.
AIDAprima's maiden voyage will be an 86-day journey, setting off for Hamburg from the Japanese city of Yokohama on March 22nd.
