Addition to fleet of heavy-lift vessels

The RollDock Sky is a sister vessel to the RollDock Sun and RollDock Sea

It is the third semi-submersible, multi-purpose heavy-lift vessel bought from the Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and will go directly into service after some upgrades, the company said.
RollDock currently has two MC-class vessels under construction at Cosco Dalian Shipyard in China, which are expected to join the fleet within the next twelve months. The first is nearing completion and will soon enter into service for BigRoll Shipping, a joint venture of RollDock and Amsterdam-based BigLift Shipping. BigRoll Shipping has ordered four ice-class vessels with wide, open decks from Cosco.

RollDock Shipping BV, part of the Netherlands-based Roll Group, has confirmed the purchase of its seventh vessel, the RollDock Sky.
