ABS releases upgraded fleet performance software

ABS WavesightTM has announced key developments to its My Digital Fleet (MDF) software which, it says, will support regulatory compliance, improve fleet efficiency, reduce operational costs, and meet fleet decarbonisation goals. The classification society’s aim is to support shipowners and operators as they face new challenges from decarbonisation requirements set out by both the International Maritime Organization and the European Union.
A key feature of MDF is its EU Emissions Trading System compliance support. It enables users to track carbon dioxide emissions accurately both aboard individual vessels and across an entire fleet. The software assists in meeting regulatory requirements and the precise reporting of EU allowances.
