UN Global Compact signed

LM Wind Power, one of the world’s largest wind turbine blade, brakes and service suppliers to the wind industry, announced that it has signed the United Nations Global Compact.

UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate voluntary initiative on sustainability with participation of more than 8000 businesses and organizations worldwide. By signing up to the UN Global Compact, the organization  commits to integrating the ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, into its operations and day to day culture and submit an annual progress report – the CoP (Communication on Progress).

LM Wind Power is now taking a thorough look at the way it conducts its business in all areas. It is already compliant on the business ethics and humanitarian requirements of the UN Global Compact but its new corporate strategy renews commitments on safety, industrial hygiene, emissions, waste and all aspects of environmental impact.
