The Ulstein S182 is a dynamically positioned multi-purpose vessel with capability to support a range of offshore operations including cable laying dive support, rock installation and salvage work. The type aims to be low cost or with low capital expenditure (Capex), Ulstein said. The Ulstein S182 can operate autonomously
in remote shallow water and offshore areas. A main offshore crane of up to 400 tonnes can be located in the side of the vessel, while a passageway below main deck is created between aft casings and accommodation, a safety feature avoiding people having to cross the open work deck. The vessel will be 115.4m long, 30.8m wide and have an operational draight of 5.0m. It can accommodate up to 240 people.
