OSV modification and fleet expansion

Opielok is to take delivery of its new 26m-long crew transfer vessel this month (Sketch: OOC)

The vessel will serve wind farm requirements as a walk to work, accommodation, guard and coordination vessel which can conduct cargo runs, undertake supply replenishment, fuel and fresh water transfers, disposal of waste along with other tasks. No yard has yet been named for the work. The vessel will receive a motion compensating gangway system, extended accommodation for up to 40 passengers and an additional boat for passenger and spare transfers in up to moderate weather conditions. The vessel has a sea endurance of approximately one month, which allows charterers to plan extensive offshore work with reduced need for port calls.
This month, the company is to take delivery of a 26m-long crew wind farm transfer vessel which was built by Strategic Marine in Vietnam, part of Singapore’s Triyards group. OOC Nerz is amongst others designed for crew transfer, transport of dangerous goods or dive and ROV operations.

Hamburg-based offshore support company Opielok Offshore Carriers is currently engineering the modification of one of its 72m-long offshore wind farm support vessels.
