New JV to develop French market
Signing of the MoU
The new set-up has been established to combine the core competencies of both companies and make them available in logistics support for the expanding French offshore wind market. The services range from near shore and operating base harbour logistics to complete support for the operation and maintenance of operating wind farms offshore.
The Hamburg-based company provides project management and engineering services and has a strong track record of more than 15 large-scale offshore wind projects in the North and Baltic Seas. The IDEA Groupe, meanwhile, has a strong local network in France and experience in specific energy logistics projects.
The two companies believe the new JV has been set up in time to benefit from various offshore wind project planning for the next few years and will contribute to the French Government’s aim of producing 40% of its energy from renewable sources by 2030.
