The rig, which is of similar design as the “Safe Boreas”, presently under construction at Jurong, will be built to comply with Norwegian regulations. It will be ready for operations in the North Sea in 2015 with the exact delivery date to be determined in the final yard contract.
Furthermore, the yard has - subject to board approval - granted two options for further newbuildings, meaning that Prosafe now has options for three units at JSPL. The additional two options can be designed either for the Norwegian Continental Shelf or for world-wide operations outside of Norway.
