A newly purpose-built subsea trencher ROV (remotely operated vehicle), the CTO 107-1100, buried all of the cables successfully, CT Offshore said. The new trencher ROV has an operating depth of 100m but is capable of working in depths of up to 1,500m, meaning it can be used for various other industry cable-laying tasks.
Having a total capacity of 582 MW, the Gode Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind farms are Germany’s largest offshore wind project to date. When fully commissioned, they will supply electricity to some 600,000 German households.

Danish subsea cabling installer CT Offshore recently installed the last of 97 inter-array cables at Denmark-based DONG Energy’s contiguous Gode Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind farms in the German sector of the North Sea.
