When operational in 2015, the Kentish Flats Extension (KFE) will annually generate the power needed for 42,000 UK households, in addition to the existing 30-turbine Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm.
The extension will be constructed more than 7km off the shore of Kent in South East England and will cover nearly 8km2. As per construction plan, 15 turbines with a capacity of 3.3 MW each are to be installed in the second quarter of 2015, followed by laying the inter array and export cables to generate first power in the fourth quarter of 2015.
