The installation of the 30th and final turbine at Vattenfall‘s Ormonde offshore wind farm off the north-west English coast has been completed.
Ormonde’s 30 REpower 5M wind turbines have a total installed capacity of 150 MW. The wind farm is said to be capable of generating enough electricity annually to meet the equivalent electricity needs of 100,000 UK households.
