Netherlands-based heavy construction equipment specialist, Huisman, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Australasian Training Company (ATC) to provide training courses and competency assurance services in offshore crane operation, offshore rigging, and offshore crane inspection.

The courses, which will be available in Singapore, will make use of real Huisman cranes, or those of its affiliate – SMST. They are the only ones available there which meet American Petroleum Institute standards, as well as those of Australia and the United Kingdom.
“ATC Offshore and Huisman Far East Services have recognised that individuals and organisations require certification and qualifications in accordance with multiple international standards and regulatory bodies,” said Nuphar Notschaele, managing director of Huisman Far East Services. “We understand the challenges in obtaining certification for personnel and the complexities of logistics faced when required to attend multiple locations and training providers to undertake, obtain or re-validate existing licensing and qualifications. As a multinational training provider, we will act as a ‘one stop shop’ for the qualifications required.”
