Havyard-designed WSV for ESVAGT to be built in Turkey

Havyard designs the new type of windfarm service vessel for ESVAGT (Impression: Havyard)

It will be delivered in the second half of 2017. The vessel will support technicians maintaining wind turbines off the Belgian coast under a contract with MHI Vestas Offshore Wind. ESVAGT has commissioned Norway’s Havyard to design the vessel which will measure 58.5m long and 16.6m wide. It will be able to support up to 22 technicians in single cabins. It comes equipped with ESVAGTs safe transfer boats
to transfer technicians, tools and spare parts to the turbines.

Danish offshore contractor ESVAGT has ordered a wind farm support vessel from Cemre Shipyard in Turkey.
