GeoSea takeover of A2SEA completed

A2SEA maintains and operates a fleet of specially designed installation vessels and equipment

GeoSea is owned by the Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering (DEME) Group and specialises in complex marine engineering projects.  
Within a few days of the deal’s completion, the Danish company announced that it had been contracted by its new owner to install 66 transition pieces on the 396-MW Merkur offshore wind project. The company’s jack-up offshore support vessel Sea Challenger will transport and assist in the installation of the transition pieces at the wind farm in the German North Sea. Mobilisation will begin in early October managed from the Dutch port of Eemshaven in and the Sea Challenger will ship six pieces at a time.

Belgium’s GeoSea has completed its acquisition of Denmark-based A2SEA, formerly owned by Dong Energy and Siemens International, following approval from international competition authorities at the end of August.
