EPCIc modification project for Kvitebjørn pre-compression

Bergen Group Offshore has, through its subsidiary Bergen Group Rosenberg AS, been awarded a major offshore modification project by Statoil. The contract value for the project is stated to amount to between 1 - 1,5 BNOK, and it will generate activity from Q4 2010 until Q1 2014.

The EPCIc-contract (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & commissioning) involves modifications to the Kvitebjørn platform to improve its compression capacity. The contract also includes modifications to Kvitebjørn for tie in of the future Valemon Platform. Bergen Group Rosenberg shall perform project-management, engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the new facilities integrated on the Kvitebjørn platform. Installation of the modules will take place during spring/summer of 2013 and project completion is scheduled for Q1 2014.

The project will be mobilized immediately at the facilities of Bergen Group Rosenberg at Buøy, Stavanger. All onshore activities are planned to be performed from Stavanger. This is considered a significant advantage for efficient project execution.

The Kvitebjørn Field is a gas field located about 130 km west of Sognefjorden in block 34/11, close to the Gullfaks field on the Norwegian continental shelf in the North Sea. Water depth in the area is around 190 meters.
