EPCC contract for Malaysian yard Brooke Dockyard

Malaysian yard Brooke Dockyard has signed a RM149 million (US$39.9 million) engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract with Malaysian customer Murphy Sarawak Oil Corporation and Engineering Works Corporation.

The contract is for the construction of an offshore topside unit for the SA-SA platform on the Sarawak SK309/311 SPSA offshore oilfield development project. The SA-SA platform consists of a separate satellite platform in the South Acis field located in Block SK311 approximately 17 kilometres from West Patricia, with a water depth of 35m. The onshore mechanical completion date is February 15, 2016 and the platform is targeted to be loaded out and sailed away in March 2016. Brooke Dockyard also signed a memorandum of understanding with Engineering Works Corporation and Perunding Ranhill Worley as technical partners to undertake an engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) contract for work on a marginal field project in the Bokor Development off Sarawak in Malaysia.
