Eneco will build a new wind farm 23km off the coast near the Dutch town of Noordwijk.

Construction is scheduled to commence at the end of 2013, and the wind farm, which will consist of 43 windmills, will be fully operational by 2014. It will generate 129MW of capacity, delivering green power to at least 135,000 households. The wind farm will also offer scope for others wanting to test innovations involving foundations, fitting techniques and large windmills.
The wind farm will comprise 43 modern Vestas V112-3.0MW wind turbines with a joint capacity of 129MW. It is the ambition of Eneco to enlarge the capacity of the park to 150MW by replacing seven turbines by seven innovative turbines of 6MW each. A European grant has been requested for this (NER300).
