Semi submersible drilling rig "COSLPioneer"
COSL Drilling Europe AS is a subsidiary to China Oilfield Services Limited, Beijing, China. COSL Drilling Europe AS is located in Stavanger, Norway. COSL Drilling Europe AS owns two accommodation rigs, "COSLRigmar" and "COSLRival", both operating on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) on long term contracts for ConocoPhillips.
The company had two semi submersible drilling units under construction at Yantai CIMS Raffles Shipyard, at Yantai, whreof "COSLPioneer" has now been delivered. The unit will be ready for operations in Chinese and European waters early 2011.
With an overall lengthof 104.5 m and an overall witdth of 65 m "COSLPioneer" has a main deck of 81.5 m lond and 65 m wide. the Helideck measures 22.2 m in diameter. The moonpool deminsions amount to 21.95 x 7 m. Station keeping is maintained by an eight line mooring system or by dynamic position mode maintained by six fixed pitch, variable speed thrusters (DP3).
