Contract award for Kleven

Delivery will be in September 2015. The contract also includes an option for a second vessel to be delivered in 2016. The first vessel is of the MT 6015 MPSV design, designed by Norwegian design company MarinTeknikk, and will be fitted with a crane and helicopter deck. Kleven said this is its first vessel construction contract with a client from South East Asia. The vessel has a length of 93.8m, a beam of 20m and a working deck of more than 1,000sqm. It will feature a 150-tonne active heave compensated offshore crane and accommodation for 60 persons, a CAP 437-compliant helideck , fire-fighting capabilities as well as provisions for remote operated vehicle operations. The vessel is expected to be contracted by oil and gas operating companies in the development of deep and newly discovered ultra deep-water hydrocarbon fields in Asia and the Middle East.
