CMM takes delivery of Damen PSV 3300

The CMM Gravity is the yard’s seventh delivery of Damen’s new mid-size PSV 3300 design
The 80m-long and 16.2m-wide CMM Gravity will be deployed in Brazilian waters from June 2014 on a four-plus-four-year contract with Petrobras.
Equipped with a DP2 system, which relies on four generator sets, two Azimuth thrusters and two bow thrusters, the Lloyd’s Register-classed CMM Gravity will be compliant to Petrobras specifications, including Petrobras Annex V.
The 3,300dwt vessel has a deck area of 728m² with a 1,500-tonne load capacity. Its most remarkable features, the Dutch shipbuilder noted, was its bulb-less axe bow and the bright red that CMM has selected for its corporate colour.
For CMM the delivery of the vessel marks a further step of its plans to expand its activities in the offshore market and its offering as an OSV operator.
