With a bollard pull of 390 tons the new building is among the strongest AHTS in the world. "KL Sandefjord" is 94.9 m long and 20 m broad. She sails with a speed of 16 kts. The vessel is as per shipowner equipped with various unique and latest devices such as the Dynamic Positioning System (DP3), ROV(*4) Launching and Recovery System (ROVLARS) and 250 ton A-Frame that can be launched and recover large sub-sea equipment to and from under the sea to provide safe and high quality services in growing offshore oil and gas field development market.
Second AHTS "KL Saltfjord" is expected to follow still first quarter 2011.
