Monaco-headquartered shipowning company Compagnie Maritime Monégasque SAM (CCM) has secured long-term charters from Petrobras Brazil for five new fast oil spill response vessels (OSRVs).

Built by the Dutch Damen Shipyards Group, the vessels with the fuel-efficient sea-axe design are said to have unrivalled speed, stability and operability in deep seas.
Three vessels will start operating by the end of December 2015, and two by end of June 2016. The four-year contract has a value of USD 130 million and is mutually extendable for a further four-year term.
