Jesper Praestensgaard new CCO for Hapag Lloyd

The Supervisory Board of Hapag Lloyd, Hamburg, has appointed Jesper Praestensgaard as a new member of the Executive Board as from 1 January 2011. As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), he will be responsible for the Marketing/Sales area. Jesper Praestensgaard has over 20 years of experience in liner shipping and has recently worked as the Chief Executive Asia Pacific Region of Maersk Line with responsibility for all liner shipping activities in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
According to the chairman of the Executive Board of Hapag Lloyd, Michael Behrendt, this appointment represents a systematic continuation of the strategy of constantly boosting the activities in the Marketing/Sales field.
