Evergreen incorporates Teesport into schedule

Evergreen containers at Teesport

This is a new service of transhipment over Rotterdam via Feederlink.

The service operated by Feederlink, which started on 01 August is expected to bring in additional volumes of containers from suppliers in the Far East.
These will include shipments of the British retailer Tesco being delivered to the retailer’s new import facility, which opened at Teesport on 17 August. Tesco chose Teesport as its Northern portcentric logistics hub to significantly reduce overall supply chain costs.
The arrival of new shipping line customer, Evergreen, at Teesport, is part of the container line’s strategy to increase its container business in the North of the UK and to serve the growing portcentric logistics presence at Teesport.Evergreen joins fellow shipping line, Maersk, who also ships containers through Teesport on feeder vessels on behalf of Tesco.

The Taiwanese container shipping line Evergreen has incorporated North East based British port Teesport, owned by PD Ports, into its weekly shipping services from the Far East.
