Contract for PSV

The type VS 485 MK II PSV vessel is designed by Wärtsila Ship Design Norway, and - in addition to the design -  Wärtsila will also deliver generator sets, automation and electrical systems. 
The 85m-long and 20m-wide vessel will have a dead weight of around 5,000 tonnes. The deck area is in excess of 1000m². The design meets Clean Design and ice-class ICE C requirements, and the vessel is equipped for oil recovery, stand-by and rescue services.
The vessel will be delivered from Myklebust Yard in June 2012. 
The contract is based on a hull that is already under construction in Poland.
